Board meeting of the UNDP-GCF “De-Risking and Scaling-up Investment in Energy Efficient Building Retrofits” project took place
On 7 October, the extended Board meeting of the UNDP-GCF “De-Risking and Scaling-up Investment in Energy Efficient Building Retrofits” project took place.
Minister of Environment, co-chair of the Project Board Hakob Simidyan, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia, co-chair of the Project Board Natia Natsvlishvili and members of the Board from stakeholder institutions took part in the Board meeting.
In her speech, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia, co-chair of the Project Board, Natia Natsvlishvili highly appreciated the intersectoral cooperation.
"Thanks to our collective efforts, the Project continues to make significant progress toward Armenia's green climate agenda. As of December 2023, we have reduced emissions by approximately 21,000 tons of CO2 annually and successfully retrofitted 157 multi-apartment buildings and 59 public buildings, benefiting over 50,000 people. We deeply appreciate the close cooperation with our national partners and look forward to continuing this strong partnership to achieve our shared objectives."
